Summer weather
The average temperature in Inverness over the summer is around 14°C, generally spanning between 8°C and 18°C. The weather conditions are always very changeable here in the Highlands and we can experience all kinds of weather, but we have a mild climate. It doesn’t tend to get too hot or too cold here over the summer, although there are exceptions. This is the warmest season, but you should still expect some rainfall.
When it comes to packing, it’s all about the layers. If you layer up, you can simply add and remove layers depending on the current weather conditions. Check out our handy packing list.
