There are several free visitor attractions in Inverness. Such as the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, a fabulous museum, which gives a glimpse into the history of the Highlands. Those interested in history shouldn’t miss a visit to the Clava Cairns, a 4000-year-old Iron Age burial ground near Inverness. Here you can view a range of prehistoric monuments and the ruins of a medieval chapel.
