Our eco-friendly wedding practices

Our environmental and sustainability pledge is at the heart of everything we do at the Kingsmills. Here are some of the things that we are doing to ensure our weddings are eco-conscious:

• Using locally grown and seasonal ingredients for wedding dining, with options for vegetarian or vegan menus.
• Following energy-saving practises throughout the hotel.
• Offering outdoor wedding venues (weather permitting), which reduce energy usage.
• Removing single-use plastics from our bar and event venues.
• Using local suppliers wherever possible to minimise transportation.
• Offering wedding packages, so that couples don’t have to purchase everything from scratch.
• Suggesting local companies for photography, fashion and beauty, flowers, entertainment and more.
• Encouraging our staff and wedding guests to reduce, reuse and recycle.
• Encouraging guests to choose sustainable travel options, such as arriving by train.
