Inverness Music Festival
24-26 February & 3-6 March 2023
A great way to kick off spring in Inverness! This local music competition is open to all ages and abilities. It’s a wonderful event for all music lovers, whether you’re performing at Eden Court Theatre, or watching and listening in the audience. One of Inverness Music Festival’s main aims is to provide an opportunity for amateur musicians to perform before an audience. So, come along and show your support! You can purchase tickets in advance from the Theatre Box Office.

Inverness Half Marathon and 5K

The Half Marathon and 5K is a wonderful event for runners of all levels and abilities. Training for a 5K run is the perfect way to get fit, now that the colder weather is coming to an end. Etape Loch Ness
23 April 2023
This spring, thousands of cyclists will hit the road from Inverness to Fort Augustus and back again in the annual Etape Loch Ness. This 66-mile pedal around Loch Ness takes in some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Scotland, not to mention a few monster hills. The Etape Loch Ness is a much-loved and eagerly anticipated event for cyclists and spectators alike.
Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival
26 April – 1 May 2023
Seeking a taste of the Highlands? Head on over to the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Festival events take place throughout Speyside, in the Moray area near Inverness. Founded in 1999, it’s a celebration of all things whisky. With plenty of whisky-tasting on the cards, it would be a shame not to take advantage of this fantastic event – after all, it is educational too!

Loch Ness Festival
26-28 May & 2-4 June
Loch Ness Festival is a new sports events festival based on the stunning shores of Loch Ness. It includes a Trail Running Weekend with 100 miler and 50 miler runs and a 5km walk/run. Followed by a Mountain Biking Weekend with 100 miler and 50 miler rides and a relay lap event. Both weekends also offer kids’ events, so the whole family can join in.
Live Shows in Inverness
Spring 2023
There are lots of fantastic shows coming to Eden Court Theatre in Inverness this spring. With Music from the Three Amigos, The Magnets and Blue Rose Code. Dancing with Giovanni Pernice and Scottish Ballet’s Streetcar Named Desire. Comedy from Ray Bradshaw, Stewart Lee, Susie McCabe and Darren McGarvey. Plays such as Kidnapped by the National Theatre of Scotland and Abigail’s Party by Mike Leigh. And, for kids and families, there’s CIRQUE: The Greatest Show and David Walliams’ Demon Dentist.
