The Kingsmills Team are delighted to announce the return of the Sunflower Ball; in aid of the Highland Hospice. In 2024, we are bringing this event back with a huge celebration. And, we have a stellar line up of guests!

When is the Sunflower Ball?

The Sunflower Ball is being held on Saturday 16th November 2024 in the Kingsmills Suite. By the end of 2023, the Kingsmills Team have raised over £380,000 for the Highland Hospice. And, we’re determined to raise £500,000 for the charity by the end of this year at various events we’re hosting. We can’t wait to add this new event to the calendar!

Rory Bremner

The Kingsmills Suite will play host to this fabulous evening with our main guest Rory Bremner. A comedian, satirist, presenter and impressionist, Rory may hail from Scotland but his humour and TV acclaim has spread across the UK. With a host of TV appearances, newspaper contributions, documentaries and a repertoire of characters, we can’t wait for Rory to lead us through an evening of entertainment!

Other Guests

On Saturday 16th November, you are invited to join us for a drinks reception, 4 course dinner and some exceptional entertainment. The talented band CALA will be entertaining through dinner, while MC and Host Alex Fleming will lead us through the evenings packed itinerary. After dinner, we will be treated to music from Kenny Smith and Michael McMillan of renowned band, Torridon! Then, we will gather for an incredible whisky auction including rare bottlings and very special lots.

Sunflower Ball Menu

Our menu has been curated to celebrate some of the finest ingredients from the land and sea. A real feast! Enjoy a seasonal Spiced Pumpkin Velouté to begin followed by exquisite Scallops, pan seared, and served with pickled pear and hazelnut praline. The main event is Hay Roasted Venison from a local estate. To finish, savour a Pistachio and Apple Gâteau. Dietary alternatives are available on request.

Grand Whisky Auction

The grand finale of this evening will be an exceptional auction with a collection of rare expressions, bottlings and incredible malts. Fear not, if you’re not a whisky fan, we will also have a collection of lots for you to bid on! All the proceeds from the auction will be going to the Highland Hospice and we’re determined to raise as much as we can to get us near our £500,000 target!

Tickets

We have three tiers of tickets available for this exquisite evening; Platinum, Gold and Silver.

Platinum Tickets

Platinum ticket holders are invited to arrive at the Kingsmills from 6.30pm for a fire-side VIP drinks reception with Rory Bremner. We will be serving up premium G&T and Johnnie & Ginger cocktails and our team will be circulating with a selection of delicious canapés. You will be invited into dinner in our Kingsmills Suite for 7.30pm. Platinum tickets will be placed on tables with the best view of the evenings entertainment. Platinum tickets cost £175 per guest.

Gold Tickets

Gold ticket holders are invited for a premium drinks reception from 7pm to enjoy a Rock Rose Gin & Tonic or Johnnie & Ginger cocktail. A selection of canapés will be served before you are invited to dinner for 7.30pm. Gold tickets cost £150 per guest.

Silver Tickets

Silver ticket holders are invited into the Kingsmills Suite for a drinks reception from 7pm. Enjoy a Prosecco Kir Royale before being invited you to your table for 7.30pm. Silver tickets cost £125 per guest.
