Stag party ideas in Inverness and Scottish Highlands

If you’re planning a stag party, the Scottish Highlands is a fantastic destination. There are plenty of places to enjoy outdoor adventures in the Scottish Highlands during stag weekends, from golf to fishing. Here, at the Kingsmills Hotel, we offer a range of guest rooms for stag parties. And if you want to celebrate with a night out, we’re just five minutes from Inverness city centre. So, why not take a look at our special offers and book your stag weekend in the Scottish Highlands? Here are some stag party ideas to help you plan a memorable occasion:

Nature and Adventure on Stag Weekends

There’s no better way to celebrate than getting together with friends and family for a traditional send-off. Here, in the Scottish Highlands, the natural landscapes provide the perfect setting for fun outdoor activities.

The Cairngorms National Park is just 30 minutes from Inverness, and home to some of Scotland’s highest mountains and huge native forests. Here, you can enjoy climbing, mountain biking and white water rafting. Or, take a guided cycle tour and descend 3,000 feet from the ridge down to the river.

Then, when you’ve had a fun day in the great outdoors, head to our Whisky Bar for a hot toddy with friends.

Golf in the Highlands

There’s no better place to enjoy Scottish golf breaks than in the beautiful Highlands.

Here at the Kingsmills Hotel, we’re conveniently located next to the Inverness Golf Club with its par-69 parkland course and tree-lined fairways. Tee off with friends and enjoy spectacular and dramatic views of the Scottish Highlands. Or, perhaps you’d prefer a golf course crawl rather than a bar crawl during your stag party in Scotland? Luckily, we’re near three fantastic golf courses, giving you the perfect excuse to plan a golf stag weekend. So, choose from Nairn Golf Club on the coast of Moray Firth, Royal Dornoch, or Castle Stuart, a Championship Links course.

Whisky Distillery Tours

Stag weekends in Scotland would not be complete without a sample of the local tipple. Fortunately, the Scottish Highlands are bursting with whisky distilleries where you can enjoy a wee dram with friends.

Start with a guided tour of Glen Ord on the edge of the Black Isle. Established in 1838, it’s one of the oldest distilleries in the world. And, as well as using the original distillation techniques, they also malt their own barley. Then, head to Monadhliath Mountains and Tomatin Distillery, which uses the fresh mountain water. Here, you can even fill up your own bottle straight from the cask.

Finally, head back to the Kingsmills Hotel and enjoy our own selection of whiskies.

Start your Inverness stag party with a delicious dinner with friends at one of our restaurants. Then, grab a taxi into Inverness and visit some of the city’s lively bars. Here, you can see live music, watch sports games in traditional pubs, or dance until the small hours in nightclubs.

Then, if you’re feeling a little tender the next day, why not book a rejuvenating male spa treatment in our luxury spa?
