Inverness Science Festival 2022
The Inverness Science Festival returns this spring with a packed programme for adults and children alike. Organised by the STEM Team (science, technology, engineering and maths) at the University of the Highlands and Islands, the festival offers an insight into local scientific projects. With a mix of online and in-person events this year. It’s aim is to encourage an interest in science for all ages and to inspire the next generation of scientists. So this is a great festival for everyone to enjoy, running from 29th April to 14th May 2022.
What’s on at Inverness Science Festival 2022?
The festival itinerary will be posted online soon, so keep an eye on the university website for full details. There will be a series of events for adults, a range of family events and also a programme of lectures.
What are the highlights?
The annual free family day at Inverness Leisure Centre is always a great day out. This year taking place on Saturday 7th May. During the event there many varied and fascinating stalls set up around the centre, and you can take part in interactive activities suitable for all ages.
Public lectures are also held by a range of expert speakers. Run by local colleges and universities, they give insights into lots of different topics.
What’s more, there are usually free sessions at different venues around the city, hosting science-themed activities. Past venues include Eden Court Theatre, Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, Simpsons Garden Centre and The Victorian Market.
