Case Study: Scottish Golf Tourism Week
Scottish Golf Tourism Week
The event brief
Scottish Golf Tourism Week 2024 was hosted at the Kingsmills Hotel. Held in the Scottish Highlands for the first time, the three-day event was organised by DC Thomson and Visit Scotland. They tasked us with providing the venue for this prestigious event, and we worked closely with them to ensure its success. The event took place from 19th to 21st March, bringing together multiple tour operators from across the world, to meet with Scottish golf businesses. There was also an official launch event at The Kingsmills Hotel. Businesses and local community were invited to meet with the event organisers and partners to learn more.

Featured regularly in media as a top place to stay and most recently in Bunkered Magazine, the Kingsmills Hotel is a firm favourite with golf enthusiasts. For guests staying overnight, the exclusive Kingsclub boasts views across neighbouring Inverness Golf Club. Furthermore, many of the rooms enjoy private patios and balconies – the perfect spot for afternoon refreshments.

Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands offers the perfect gateway to some of Scotland’s finest courses. Our Retreat Rooms at the Kingsmills Hotel look out over neighbouring Inverness Golf Club, founded in 1883. Cabot Highlands’ Castle Stuart Golf Links have hosted the Scottish Open four times and what’s more, they are now constructing a multi-million-pound second championship course. Nearby Nairn Golf Club has also played host to the Curtis Cup and Walker Cup
