Part-time Finance Assistant
Finance Assistant – Part-time/Flexible – 25 hours per week – ( flexibility to increase hours at Month End/ Holiday and Sickness Cover is essential)
We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientated Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Team with tasks as listed below, but not limited to. This is a great opportunity to join a small, supportive, team in a fast-paced finance environment.
About The Role
Based at the Kingsmills Hotel and working across all properties, this role will report directly to the Finance Director.
This position requires good time-management, accuracy and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include:
- Bank reconciliations
- Sales Invoicing
- Posting of payments to Sales Ledger
- Revenue audit
- Petty Cash posting
- Ad-hoc reports/duties as requested/required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Part-time Finance Assistant, who has a high level of attention to detail.
You will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within hospitality.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Confident using Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between properties, within Inverness, would be preferable but not essential.

- Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accounting software
- Desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct
- Knowledge of hotel accounting
Rooms
Room Attendant
We are looking a Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Team
21 hours per week – £12.71 per hour.
You will be working three days from seven which includes weekends .
We are looking for a highly motivated Room Attendant and who has a passion for high standards of Housekeeping. As a Room Attendant you will play a key part in providing an exceptional welcome to our Guests every day.
Your responsibilities will include –
- Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to the required standards set out by our Executive Head Housekeeper .
- Hoover bedrooms and clean bathroom floors, removing all debris restock amenities.
- Replenishing supplies such as toiletries, water, biscuits, tea/coffee.
- Dust and polish all hard surfaces including high dusting.
- Complying fully with all regulations relating to Health Safety, Food Handling, Fire Procedures and COSHH Report any room defects or any faulty equipment.
This is a permanent role where full training can be provided so experience not essential. With regards to working hours we can be flexible. We are looking for team players but you must be able to work on your own initiative too once fully trained.

Food & Beverage
Restaurant Expediter
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our F & B team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining services. This position involves coordinating food preparation, managing kitchen flow, and ensuring that all dishes are served promptly and to the highest quality standards. The Expediter will work closely with chefs, servers, and other staff to maintain an efficient service environment. Shifts are 3pm – 11pm five evenings from seven per week.
Duties
- Oversee the food preparation process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage the flow of service, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and smoothly maintaining a calm and organised environment
- Ensure that all dishes meet quality standards, consistency and visual appeal before they are served to customers.
- Assist in training new restaurant associates on food safety practices and kitchen procedures.
- Supervising the back of house restaurant associates to ensure tasks and duties are carried out promptly and effectively. That the still room is well organised and kept clean at all times.
- May be involved in managing inventory, checking in deliveries and ensuring stations are stocked and clean before and during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- May need to assist with customer complaint related to food and ensure a positive dining experience.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in food presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of service.
- Able to think quickly and find solutions to unexpected issues that may arise.
- Meticulous observation to ensure every dish is correct and meet the high standard expected.
- Strong communication skills – excellent verbal and written communication is essential to effectively co-ordinate with the team.
