Inverness Music Festival

7th – 24th March 2024

A great way to kick off spring in Inverness! This local music competition is open to all ages and abilities. It’s a wonderful event for all music lovers, whether you’re performing or watching and listening in the audience. One of Inverness Music Festival’s main aims is to provide an opportunity for amateur musicians to perform before an audience. So, come along and show your support!

Inverness Half Marathon and 5K

10th March 2024

The Half Marathon and 5K is a wonderful event for runners of all levels and abilities. Training for a 5K run is the perfect way to get fit, now that the colder weather is coming to an end. Or, if you’re a seasoned runner looking for the next challenge, how about a half marathon? Sign up today and find that extra motivation to get fit this spring!

Etape Loch Ness

28th April 2024

This spring, thousands of cyclists will hit the road from Inverness to Fort Augustus and back again in the annual Etape Loch Ness. This 66-mile pedal around Loch Ness takes in some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Scotland, not to mention a few monster hills. The Etape Loch Ness is a much-loved and eagerly anticipated event for cyclists and spectators alike.

Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

1st – 6th May 2024

Seeking a taste of the Highlands? Head on over to the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Festival events take place throughout Speyside, in the Moray area near Inverness. Founded in 1999, it’s a celebration of all things whisky. With plenty of whisky-tasting on the cards, it would be a shame not to take advantage of this fantastic event – after all, it is educational too!

Live Shows in Inverness

Spring programme 2024

There are lots of fantastic shows coming to Eden Court Theatre in Inverness this spring. With music from The ELO Show, Eddi Reader and the Inverness Fiddlers. Dancing with Giovanni Pernice and Scottish Ballet’s Swan Lake. Comedy from Mark Nelson, Shappi Khorsandi and Ray Bradshaw. Plays such as Austen’s Women: Lady Susan and James V: Katherine. For children and families, there’s CIRQUE: The Greatest Show and Ministry of Magic Live. What’s more, we have hit musicals Jesus Christ Superstar and Made In Dagenham.
