Christmas might be over, but here at the luxury four star Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness we’re keeping the festivities going a little longer. To celebrate the opening of our beautifully refurbished Whisky Bar, we would like to invite friends old and new to join us for an exclusive and traditional whisky dinner as we welcome in the New Year in style.
Our chefs will be laying on a sumptuous feast of gourmet food, with every course paired against the perfect malt. There’s no better way to taste some outstanding Scottish produce and kick-start 2015 at the same time.
Whisky Dinner at the Kingsmill Hotel
Hosted by James Buntin, brand ambassador from the renowned Balvenie distillery in picturesque Speyside, you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening of sampling lovingly created dishes and learning about our national drink. Since we don’t do things by half – unless you’re talking a quick half of a Balvenie Caribbean Cask Malt, of course – this special event will include five courses of traditional Scottish cuisine. It’s the perfect way to bring in the New Year, treat yourself and a loved one, and discover some of our country’s finest Scotch whisky at the same time.
Balvenie Whisky Distillery
The Balvenie Whisky Distillery in pretty Dufftown has a celebrated history in the art of whisky making. From growing their own golden barley, to selecting the finest oak barrels to help age their amber nectar, every drop and dram is carefully matured to perfection. Their resident coppersmith tends to every still, while their in-house coopers maintain the barrels, and nothing leaves the distillery until the Malt Master gives his seal of approval. Their careful attention to detail means we’re delighted to pair their malts with our epicurean cuisine, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy the result.
The Tables are Set…
There are limited places available for this one-off whisky dinner which will be held in our stylish restaurant on January 23rd, 2015, but it’s not too late to book. Just give us a call to be part of this exclusive tasting night, enjoying our welcoming Highland hospitality and discovering fabulous malts. There’s no need to rush home either. Why not extend your visit with us by booking an overnight stay in one of our designer bedrooms? Our Luxury Rooms are beautifully upgraded with classical heritage décor, stylish wooden furniture and soothing tones of Highland heather. You will also feel right at home in one of our spacious Classic Rooms with their outsized beds, or a Patio Room with your own private space overlooking the garden. Whatever you’re after, we’ve got a room to suit your style and mood.
Take Advantage of Our Warm Scottish Hospitality
Here at the Kingsmills Hotel, we offer more than exquisite bedrooms and contemporary dining. After dinner, why not enjoy a stroll in our grounds before warming yourself in front of a crackling log fire. Let your evening wind down with a freshly brewed coffee or a smoothly shaken cocktail from the bar, and after a great night’s sleep take a dip in our leisure club swimming pool or head to our spa for the perfect start to a new day.
