Our 2009 programme for Hogmanay will be available shortly - however you can find below the programme which our guests enjoyed in 2008 below for reference.
SAMPLE PROGRAMME
29th December -
Arrive at your leisure and join your fellow guests to meet the
hotel management team who will be on hand during your stay at
the cocktail reception in the lounge- you'll receive a traditional
highland welcome. On this evening you'll enjoy a sumptuous 3 course
table d’hote dinner created using seasonal ingredients before
relaxing by listening to the resident pianist.
30th December -
You'll begin the day with a hearty Scottish breakfast then you
can choose to take advantage of our shuttle bus into the City
for some last minute shopping or to see the city's sights, Inverness
Castle sits proudly surrounded by a variety of local shops. Then
its back to the hotel in time for a 3 course buffet lunch before
you'll be taken off for an afternoon of bowling at the local Roller
bowl - who's the most competitive in your party?
Then you'll return to the hotel for a 4 course table d’hote
dinner before teaming up with other residents to join in the "Name
That Tune" quiz with prizes for those of you who recognize
the most tunes.
31st December -
Breakfast at your leisure before heading along to the leisure
club to watch the fun with the “It’s a Knockout Family
Fun” organized by the leisure club team.
Then early afternoon its off to Eden Court Theatre to enjoy the
Pantomime - Aladdin you'll have time to enjoy a 3 course buffet
lunch before you go.
Back to the hotel for shortbread and coffee – just to keep
you going till the 5 course Gala Dinner Dance in the evening there
is a traditional Ceilidh planned, followed by a disco for those
who want to continue the celebrations and dance into the wee small
hours.
With a lone piper to help the celebrations go in style you'll
enjoy a traditional Scottish Hogmanay. At the bells you'll
bring in the New Year with friends - old and new before the dancing
continues and to be sure you're able to up the energy levels you'll
receive a traditional scottish dish - Haggis, neeps and tatties
and a dram!
1st January -
You can have a relaxed morning with a well deserved lie in.
Brunch is available until early afternoon. For those who are up
and about join in our Treasure Hunt in and around the Kingsmills
gardens. Later in the day is a light hearted afternoon with the
"“Mr & Mrs ” competition - prizes for those
who know their partner the best!
Tonight you'll enjoy the Grand Buffet followed by our famous,
unique and hilarious Pantomime written, produced, directed and
starring our very own staff. Then it is time to round off the
evening with a Prize Giving Ceremony to hand out the prizes to
the competition winners. For those who are ready for
more entertainment there is time for one last quiz.
2nd January -
After a hearty breakfast its time to say farewell. We wish you
a safe journey home with lots of fantastic memories of your Highland
Hogmanay Break.
