Nairn Golf Course
Nairn Golf Course is a beautiful links golf course in the town of Nairn, not far from Inverness. Nairn Golf Course is located on the southern shores of the Moray Firth – it is possible to hit your ball in to the sea from any of the first seven holes.
Nairn Golf Course will play host to the 2012 Curtis Cup. The Curtis Cup is contested by amateur women golfers representing the USA against the UK and Ireland. It is played every two years. This will be the 37th Curtis Cup. GB & I’s last win came in 1996.
At full championship length, the Nairn course measures 6,774 yards with a par of 72, with two of the par fives at over 550 yards, including the 18th.
It is located 17 miles (27km) from Kingsmills Hotel. Head out of Inverness to the east on the A96 before turning left on to Seabank Road (in Nairn itself). Journey time is approximately 30 minutes.
