Black Isle Show at Mannsfield Showground, Muir of Ord (tel: 01463 870870). This is the largest agricultural show in the North of Scotland. First Friday and Saturday in August: Highland Field Sports Fair at Moy Hall (between Aviemore and Inverness). Tel: 01463 232618.

Tartan Heart Festival
11th August:
The Marymas Fair is a traditional festival which was held every year from 1590 until 1850 on the feast day of Mary (August 15), and was then revived in 1986. It begins with a horse and carriage procession from the cathedral through the city centre with participants in medieval style costumes.

Monday 29th December
Arrive at your leisure and join your fellow guests and meet the hotel management team for a Cocktail reception and receive a traditional highland welcome. During a sumptuous 3 course table d'hote dinner enjoy the relaxing and gentle tones of our resident pianist.
Tuesday 30th December
Start the day with a hearty Scottish breakfast then why not take advantage of our shuttle bus into the City for some last minute shopping. Return in time for a 3 course buffet lunch before departing by coach for an afternoon of bowling at the local Rollerbowl.
This evening after a 4 course choice table d'hote dinner take part in our Race night with prizes for those who come out on top.
Wednesday 31st December
Enjoy a hearty breakfast in preparation for exciting entertainment "It's a Knockout Family Fun" organised by our leisure staff.
There will be a 3 course buffet lunch before the coach takes you to the newly refurbished Eden Court Theatre for the first pantomime of a new era - Peter Pan
Returning to the hotel for shortbread and coffee - just to keep you going till the 5 course Gala Dinner Dance. There will be a traditional Ceilidh followed by a disco for those who want to dance the night away. Look out for a solo performance from our Highland piper. At the bells we will all celebrate with a glass of champagne. Haggis, neeps and tatties and a dram, will be served to keep up the energy levels into the wee sma' hours.
Thursday 1st January
Enjoy a later start this morning with a well deserved lie in. We are serving brunch until early afternoon. For those who are out and about join in our Treasure Hunt in and around the Kingsmills Hotel.
Back by special demand our "Ready, Steady, Cook". Who do you want to win - the Red Tomatoes or the Green Peppers?
This evening is our Grand Buffet followed by our famous, unique and hilarious Pantomime written, produced, directed and starring our very own staff. Round the evening off with a Prize Giving Ceremony to celebrate our competition winners. And for those with any energy left there is one last Quiz.
Friday 2nd January
After a hearty breakfast its time to say farewell. We wish you a safe journey home with lots of memories.
